Universal School Meals Program
All public schools in California are required to offer breakfast and lunch to every student.
Breakfast is offered before school and during brunch time.
Daily lunch distribution will be available to those students who wish to participate.
The breakfast and lunch menus are available online.
While we understand that emergencies happen, we kindly ask that you don't get into the habit of delivering your student a lunch daily up to the office. Many students pack their own lunch (some students even make their own daily lunch!) and bring it from home. There is a microwave and hot water dispenser available for students to use as well. Junior high students are begging for more independence and having students responsible for their lunch is a great opportunity to give them more autonomy. Rest assured, no student will go hungry.
We will still need parent volunteers to help us during lunch time. If you wish to volunteer you can sign up HERE.
More Than Meals! Benefits for Your Student and School
Completing a school meals form is crucial to school funding.
For every student who applies and qualifies for free or reduced price meals, the school receives more than $150 and additional money from state and federal grants. This includes increased funding for after-school programs, technology, counseling services, and equipment for school kitchens. Families who qualify for free or reduced cost may also be eligible for free or reduced cost internet, free or reduced cost summer camps, and more! Your application helps your child and many others.
